               The Provider

                "A guide for coparenting dads"

In a society where men are often stigmatized as dead-beat dads, it can be so difficult to shake that negative outlook that is placed upon us. From the court room wars  to the disputes with our children’s mothers, time and time again we have searched to find our voice and sought out answers on what to do. Many men have become comfortable with these negative ideologies and thus often succumb to the very notions we try to fight off every day. Though there are some organizations that try their best to aid men in this area, we still see a lot of propaganda that men continue to leave their sons and daughters to grow up without the presence of a father. I am here to let you know that the day of the dead-beat dad is over!  Men across this country are moving in a new direction and we are beginning to understand that whether we are with our child’s mother or not, it does not mean we cannot be effective parents. Many of us still haven’t found a way to decrease the stress of co-parenting so it usually results in us running for the hills—that is--until NOW.

Educator & Community Activist Barry A. Cooper, affectionately known as BCooper, is a co-parenting dad of two awesome teenagers. Hailing from Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn, BCooper understands many of the struggles fathers face when it pertains to raising children as a co-parent. Through his personal journey of fatherhood, he has created an awesome self-help book for men entitled “The Provider”-Ways of beating the stress for a Co-parenting dad.  The Provider’s main purpose is to teach Fathers how to think differently about their approach to co-parenting. The tips within the book are geared towards shifting the negative perspective many fathers in this relationship dynamic maintain into a more positive frame of thought and action to build a successful co-parenting partnership. While the book will not alleviate all of the possible struggles, it will provide the tools and strategies necessary to prevent you from getting entangled in the emotional war the challenges of the co-parenting dynamic can often present.

Serving as your guide and source of strength, The Provider is the go-to manual when you need to figure out how to manage the varying situations faced in your pursuit of successful co-parenting. With effective tips and concrete strategies learned through BCooper’s personal journey, The Provider is a safe space and sounding board where men can share the challenges and triumphs of their very own experiences.

A short, simple, yet straight forward and impactful read, The Provider is the book for the father on the go and the father who is out trying to make ends meet and still be involved. It’s also for the father who feels like walking away or who has walked away from their children because he feels over-burdened by the difficulties of co-parenting. It is for the father who is second guessing his ability to be a great dad to his children because he has experienced some short comings in life. It is the book for the father who needs a dose of confirmation to reassure him that he is on the right path. The Provider is for YOU.

The anticipation for The Provider is building exponentially! The scheduled release date is June 13th 2017. Make sure you stay connected for details on when it is available for pre-order.
